Top 5 Things to Know About Me as A Travel Planner
I’ve noticed that many travel planners share similar stories about their love for exploring the world and their passion for travel. Of course these same things are true of me, but I thought it would be fun to share 5 things with you that I believe sets me apart from others in the travel industry. So, let’s jump right in while I share a bit more about myself.
1. I'm the mom of twins
Raising twins provides unique challenges to physically navigating the world, especially when they are under about 4 years old. When they were younger, a significant amount of thought went into planning how to get them from point A to point B safely and without complete exhaustion. A simple trip to the store would take twice as long, so a trip to Disney World was a challenge, but one that was worth it. Now they are older, our challenges have changed significantly and tend to be more typical of any other family with multiple children. I don’t regret a single trip we took, but I did learn from them and am happy to pass along our tried and true techniques to help others.
2. We've traveled with our kids since they were infants
I’m excited to share my personal experience of traveling with kids. I’ve had the pleasure of bringing my little ones to Disney at various ages and let me tell you, each trip was special in its own unique way! I want to reassure you that there’s no right or wrong time to visit Disney with your kiddos. It’s all about finding what works best for you and your family. From the excitement of seeing their favorite characters come to life to the wonder and awe of the rides, there’s so much magic to experience. If you can swing it, I highly recommend planning multiple trips over the years. The memories you’ll make together will be priceless!
3. We navigate travel with a food allergy
Traveling to a new place with a food allergy can be tricky, but Disney and Universal Parks take it very seriously! We’ve also picked up some handy tips along the way, which I’m happy to share, to make sure everyone can stay safe and well-fed. After all, no one wants to be hangry on vacation!
4. We live in Minnesota, so we're within 3-4 hours of most U.S. destinations BY PLANE
I love Minnesota…in the summertime. It’s just gorgeous here. Though, when the temps dip below 0 degrees, I sometimes catch myself daydreaming of becoming a snow bird and spending winters in a warm, tropical paradise. Can you blame me? Luckily, we have some amazing destinations that aren’t too far away if we need a tropical escape.
5. I have earned several travel certifications
I am a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and have attained special knowledge of Disney Destinations. That means I am your go-to person if you are planning a trip to any of the Disney Parks. And that’s not all. I’ve also completed the UniversalAndU Training Program to become a Universal Orlando Resort Specialist and a Universal Studios Hollywood Specialist. I’m dedicated to making sure you have an incredible time no matter where you want to go.
Above and beyond these supplier trainings and certifications, I have completed an extensive 3 month training through The Magic For Less Travel which has helped prepare me to navigate travel booking and help deliver the best VIP experience for my clients. I am here to make your travel plans unforgettable!
